Internet business success stories are abound on the world wide web, but can you trust them? This question is on the lips of countless consumers surfing the web for work-at-home opportunities and a number of other "proven" methods of earning money with little work.

The truth is simple this: If the story revolves around someone who has seemingly found the "secret" to making money without working for it, it is probably a fairy tale. No question about it. How can one be so sure? Capitalism is based on hard work and dedication, not cashing in on the hard work and dedication of others. If there was a way to make money without working, why would anyone hold a job? No secret is that well guarded.

Still, some may continue to believe the stories of incredible success without years of hard work. Why? It's been said that the ones that are most likely to believe something is true, are those that need it to be true. That's not hard to understand; everyone would like to be successful. Everyone would like to spend all day with their families, doing the things they love instead of working at a job they don't enjoy. Unfortunately the only true ways to get ahead are hard work and getting an education.

Now, there are many internet business success stories that are pure fact. These are people that have 'earned' money on the internet. They put in the time and the effort and came out ahead. The internet is no different than any city in any state in the country - a person can earn money online. These internet business success stories, however, clearly state that it took time and energy. It didn't happen overnight and it didn't happen without hours and hours of their personal time invested. Just like a brick and mortar business, internet businesses require an investment of time, energy, and money.

Getting an education to help one along the way certainly wouldn't hurt matters, either. It can be more than gratifying to earn a degree and learn the skills to succeed in an internet business environment. One doesn't need a degree to succeed online, however, and there are many online resources available to teach the valuable skills they need to succeed.

Again, there are many internet business success stories out there that are indeed true, but there are also stories that have been carefully crafted to fool potential victims out of their hard-earned money. Never believe a success story that puts the sentiment across that one can make money without putting in the work.
