Having a baby shower is fun, and a great way to show one's affection for the mum-to-be. It is also a chance to get her things that she may not think of herself, or have too little of. One sits people down with a bowl of cotton balls, and a spoon, and they then have to see how many cotton balls can be placed via the spoon on their head, in a certain amount of time. The one who has the most at the end of the time wins. It is not as easy as it sounds, and is really quite funny to watch.

Another game that causes a great deal of hilarity is Encouraging Diaper Or Nappies. Disposable diapers or nappies are distributed to each guest, along with a indelible pen. The guests write encouraging words of advice on the nappies with the pen, or words of fun. The parents should get a laugh from the messages, as they use them. The messages should be written on the outside of the nappy or diaper.

Baby shower games should not cost an arm and a leg. The purpose is to have fun, and to give practical things to the new mum. When the baby arrives is time enough to give things that are practical but cute, like suits and shirts. Nappies or diapers, however, are always in need, as are different-sized little singlets.
