Different Candle Making Molds Available
Candle making molds are now commonly being endorsed by entrepreneurs and hobbyists. They are used to make candles of all shapes and sizes, which are used to decorate all places like our homes, office, cafes, spas, etc.
Molds for candle making are commonly sold in the market. Candles made using them are used mainly for decorative purpose due to the aesthetic beauty they exude. Aluminum Candle molds
Molds made of aluminum are relatively cheaper yet can be very beautiful. There seamless texture with fixed base and formed ends make them a popular choice with candle makers, as that makes the candles very steady. They are more durable than the other candle making molds and require less maintenance. Their dome-shaped top end helps the wax to ooze out in a smooth fashion. Being good conductor of heat, aluminum candle molds can withstand high temperature wax. However, these types of candle molds tend to stick. So, a releasing agent is needed to counter this.
Glass Candle molds
Candle mold made out of glass can be very classy and professional looking. Since glass is a delicate material in itself, making molds out of it is a delicate process too. They tend to develop scratches and cracks. So, it takes a great deal of expertise to produce seamless quality of candle molds out of glass. Also, cleaning and drying them also needs extra cautiousness from our side. There is no need of releasing agent in glass molds as they do not tend to stick.
Rubber Candle Molds
Usually, people who start to learn the art of candle making, do so by making rubber molds. Even though slightly delicate in nature, rubber offers absolute pliability and flexibility - the two features which help an amateur is learning the ropes of candle making. You can also spread the wings of your imagination wider while using rubber for making molds, because of their flexible nature. However, you need to be a little careful during the cooling period of the rubber mold, as there are certain chances of the mold getting distorted due to manhandling. You can go for latex, polyurethane or silicone depending upon the kind of mold you want to make.
Plastic Candle Molds
Plastic candle molds are very cheap and relatively easy to make, which makes them a delight to work with for the beginners of candle making. They also do not require much maintenance in terms of cleaning and storing. They are almost immune to temperature and weather changes, which makes them durable. However, plastic molds tend to be brittle, so you need to give a little more attention while making them.
