Mobile Cameras: What's New for 2011

What is new in 2011 as far as mobile cameras? Verizon introduced the iPhone 4 to compete with AT&T. The Sony Bloggie was released with cameras that feature HD video capability, mega pixel strengths, and one model even features 3D capabilities. The video camera allows users to capture 3D video clips and pictures, along with two microphones to capture sound. The videos can be enjoyed on the camera's own LCD screen, or on any 3D television. Images can even be uploaded to YouTube or similar sites. There are other new mobile camera phones out there also.

There are reports theVerizon iPhone 4 was designed because of complaints of dropped calls on the AT&T network. Experts believe the number of dropped calls may be caused by the exclusive nature of the iPhone. Some believe more than 2 million people might switch to the Verizon iPhone. As a camera, it takes pictures some have said are as sharp as those taken with any mobile camera and provides a fast connection to the Internet.

AT&T has introduced its own mobile cameras in 2011. Its AT&T Dell Venue provides an Android phone that provides Internet connections, AT&T 3G and T-Mobile's 3G networks, and an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus. It also provides a GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities.

In August, Blackberry is scheduled to come out with the Bold Touch Montana phone that will provide a 5 megapixel camera with a flash, a 2.8 inch display, 768 MB of RAM, and 8 GB of memory. According to reports, the Blackberry Monaco Touch cell phone can run a very long time without needing to charge its battery. It has a 5 megapixels camera, with flash, and the capability to record videos. It has 4 GB of memory and 768 MB of RAM.

In the first quarter of the year, Nokia is scheduled to come out with its X7 cell phone with a four inch display screen, and an 8 megapixel camera.

Dell, known for its computers, is scheduled to release it Venue Cell Phone, with an 8 megapixel camera, Internet capabilities, and a Snapdragon 8250 Processor. The company's Dell Venue Pro cell phone will have a 4.1 inch display, Windows phone 7, 5 megapixel camera, and 1GHz Snapdragon chip.

The Nexus S Mobile Phone will operate on smartphone and android capabilities. It will provide a 5 megapixel camera with HD capabilities, and the capability to create a mobile hot spot. The creation of mobile hot spots is one of the newest capabilities of mobile phones. Hot spots are common in the multimedia and can cause an application to display a picture, operate a video, or open other applications.

Sprint has its own variety of new mobile cameras with its cell phones. The Sprint Kyocera Echo provides dual 3.5 inch screens that can be placed side by side. It has a 5 megapixel camera, and is Wi-Fi compatible.

There are many other new mobile phones that have already, or will be introduced in 2011.
