Whatever size and shape you are, and whatever your budget, there is a perfect wedding dress for you. And finding it is going to be such fun. But with so many beautiful dresses out there, how are you ever going to find 'the one'?

Well, why not begin by looking through a few wedding magazines and cutting out pictures of dresses that catch your eye? This will give you some idea of the styles you like and what you are looking for. Then you are ready to make some appointments and start visiting some bridal shops. Don't forget to take some advisers with you! Most brides-to-be take along a mother or a sister or a friend.

All bridal wear shops will have an excellent range of wedding dresses in different styles and colours and a broad price range. And the sales assistant will be happy to help you. Be sure to make a point of telling her what your budget is before you start, and don't be tempted to try on dresses that are out of your price range. No point in this. You don't want to be tempted to overspend.

Keep an open mind, and try on as many different dresses as you can. Even try on dresses that you think are not your style. Sometimes a dress with no hanger appeal whatsoever can look amazing on the body.

Remember, the sales assistant is there to sell dresses, so don't be pressurised into buying a dress unless you are 100% happy with it. Even if you have found a dress you really like, leave the shop to allow yourself some thinking time and get the opinions of the girls you took with you.
